Committee Update

As my family and I depart for Australia shortly, this is a farewell note. It’s been fantastic to see the club go from strength to strength over the last few years. We have a great membership base, a vibrant coaching programme for adults and kids, a new clubhouse, the largest number of teams in our history and several trophies in our cabinet following a successful Summer of league matches. Remarkably, our club bank balance is looking fairly healthy so we should be proud and grateful for having a vibrant tennis club in good physical and financial shape for the future.

The success of our club is underpinned by you our members and all those who volunteer their time to ensure its success. I would like to pay tribute to the team captains, coaches and our committee for all their service to the club. There are so many thankless activities that go on behind the scenes to ensure we have a great club that we can all participate in different ways. I’d also like to thank in particular Rob Hilton, my predecessor and regular tennis partner, for all his hard work and contribution to the club. I wish him and his family every success and happiness in their new adventures in France. Finally, thank you to Liz for her tireless work for the club. She will be a great steward in this next exciting chapter for the club.

Thank you and farewell for now.

Will Harvey
